Self Quest: Small Doses is a micro-wellness experience designed for relaxation and focus. Your privacy matters to us, and we want you to feel safe using our app. This policy explains, in plain terms, what data we do and do not collect, and how the app works.
None. Self Quest does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information. There are no user accounts, no login, no forms, no cookies, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking technologies built into the app. We do not link any data to your identity, and we do not use any data to track you across other apps or websites.
For transparency, here is what the app is doing while you use it. All of it runs locally on your device and involves no data collection:
The visuals are generated in real time on your device using a physics-based particle system — the moving specks and particles are calculated live as you interact, rather than streamed from anywhere. The music may automatically vary in tempo, speeding up and slowing down as part of the experience. These are intentional creative and design features. They do not gather, transmit, or store any information about you.
Self Quest does not use artificial intelligence to collect, analyze, profile, or make automated decisions about you. AI-assisted tools were used during the development of the app, but the app itself performs no AI processing of user data, makes no AI-driven claims about your health or wellbeing, and sends nothing to any AI service while you use it.
To open the app, your device connects to our hosting provider (Netlify) over the internet, and on Android the app is distributed through Google Play. As part of normally delivering any website or app, these providers may automatically process standard technical information — such as your IP address and device or browser type — for security and operational purposes under their own privacy policies. Self Quest does not access, store, or use this information to identify or track you.
Self Quest does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services, and does not embed third-party SDKs that collect user data. The only third parties involved are the hosting and distribution platforms described above (Netlify and Google Play), which operate under their own privacy policies.
Self Quest is designed to be safe and appropriate for users of all ages. Because we do not collect any personal information from anyone, no data about children is ever gathered, stored, or shared.
